Death Valley - can you say HOT!!

I'm glad to have had yesterday off - to get ready for the "Blast Furnace". I entered Death Valley via Beatty, Nevada at 9am, the temperature was a cool 115•F. It got warmer as the day went on. I captured a lot of video and drank a lot of water. I wore my "wicking long sleeve shirt and long johns" under a white T shirt and jeans. I had a neck tube and beany on as well. No skin showing other than my face - used lots of sun screen & lip balm. The route I took was about 120 miles long. The scope of the scenery was awesome. Tonight, I'll stay in Bishop CA, and tomorrow on to San Francisco via Yosemite - and much cooler weather. Here are some photos taken along the way.
